Once you complete the above quest, Mosman Time will give you another long set of quests. In one of his quests, there's a quest called Gold and Blood. 《Ragnarok M》recommended『NoxPlayer』 emulator Do not like to play game on mobile phones? Now you can play on PC!!! Self-Promotion Posts: Once every 24 hours.Useful Links:. Hi, with the global release incoming, I figured I would make a detailed guide for any newcomers who wish to start the game. I have been playing on the SEA server since its release and was pretty overwhelmed when I first started the game. In this guide, I'll be listing most of the basics of the game.
Although some of these mechanics can be explained with a lot more depth, I believe a surface understanding should prepare you for starting out your journey in this game.Starting the gameEveryone starts off at the same location as a Novice. Don't worry about choosing a job just yet as you can only do this once you hit level 10. The first step you want to do is questing as the early quests often give you an understanding of the game mechanics. NPCs located near you at the start will normally have a quest to give you. Once you have obtained a quest, you can track the quest on the right side of your screen by clicking the quest you want to do.If you are a bit lost, open up the minimap on the top right of your screen. You will notice that there are some exclamation marks (!) often available on your map.
Seek out the red ones as these are your primary story quests. In essence:. Red exclamation marks = Your story quests. You should prioritise these first as they guide you on your journey and navigate you to new areas.
Green exclamation marks = Your side quests. You can do these in your own time. Blue exclamation marks = Your daily quests. These can be repeated on a daily basis.
You don't have to prioritise them when you start the game and you can maybe start these on your second day of playing. There will be more dailies as you progress further (level up) so the main goal would be to unlock them first. I won't go into detail of these dailies but they consist of Mission Board, Monster Resistance, Rifts and Training Ground. I have listed them according to priority and will explain them a bit later.Choosing a jobSo you've reached level 10 and want to change your job. If you continued down the path of following the story quests (red exclamation mark), you will eventually be asked to visit the adventure hall where you can change to your first job.
In terms of job selection, the classes are very balanced in RO Mobile (ROM) so pick the class that best suits your play style. Yes, some classes do excel in specific areas compared to other classes but I would suggest to pick a class that you enjoy given that all the classes have their own merit and are able to carry themselves through most content of the game. The classes start off as the basic job but each job can branch out to a secondary job which will allow for more class diversity (e.g. An acolyte can become a priest or a monk). I'll give a breakdown of the playstyles of each class below:. Swordsman - Pick this if you enjoy moving around on a mount as this is the only class that gets access to a default mount. They essentially are the 'tank' class of ROM but you can also build them with a DPS stat line. They often utilise a sword or spear for fighting.
Thief - This is a melee class that excels at fast hitting and dodging mobs. They also have stealth elements to them for PvP so pick them if you enjoy this type of playstyle. Archer - I think the name is pretty self explanatory.
They are the long range hitters of ROM. They can only branch out to hunters at the moment which you can go full DPS or do a trap hunter that lays out traps to kill their enemies. Magician - The magic users of ROM.
They have access to long range spells and CC which is good for mob leveling. Due to this, they are quite sought after for most of the group PvE content. IMO, this is the most F2P friendly class. Acolyte - Your support class of ROM. Don't assume that a support class is weak as acolytes can also have DPS paths of their own.
You can become a hard and fast hitting monk which punches their enemies and is more focused towards DPS or you could go a full support priest that excels at buffing your party. Priests also have the ability to wreck a lot of undead with their skills which allows for easier leveling so don't assume a support priest can't hold their own solo. They are the most in demand character for PvE content as essentially all parties need 1 to function.
Merchant - This class normally pulls a wheelbarrow around with them and the playstyle can really go 2 ways. You can become a blacksmith which has good farming potential. Blacksmiths have hard hitting single target and AOE skills. They often use an axe to fight. You could also go down the route to become an alchemist that summons a homonculus to aid them when fighting or throwing destructive potions on your enemy. Alchemist are not very popular due to most of their skills requiring ingredients (purchasable potions) which can be very costly to maintain. So pick this path only if you are prepared to invest as it is less F2P friendly. The above are the basic classes.
As you level, each job will be able to 'evolve' into its next branch. Take note that this game allows multi jobs at higher levels but you should prioritise the main job you want to take at the start of the game. The job paths are as follows (updated as of 10/01/19):Swordman Knight Lord KnightSwordman Crusader PaladinThief Rogue StalkerThief Assassin Assassin CrossArcher Hunter SniperMagician Wizard High WizardAcolyte Priest High PriestAcolyte Monk ChampionMerchant Blacksmith WhitesmithMerchant Alchemist CreatorLeveling up Stats and Skill pointsOnce you have picked a job, you will be able to learn 'skills'.
You now have 2 experience (exp) bars. One for your main level which allows you to increase your attribute. Doing content in the game will always give experience to both these exp bars. These attributes are divided into strength, agility, vitality, intelligence, dexterity and luck. Strength - increases your physical damage.
Agility - increases your attack speed and flee (dodge rate). Vitality - increases your life points and defense. Intelligence - increases your magic damage and magic defense. Dexterity - increases ranged physical damage (for archers specifically), increases your hit rate (accuracy) and reduces your cast time. Luck - increases dodge rate and increases critical rateYour second experience bar is your job skill level. When this levels up, you get skill points which you can distribute into a skill tree.
You will not have enough skill points to max your skill tree so pick skills that suit your playstyle. You will need to plan your skill distribution properly. Each job caps at level 40 and once you reach that cap, you can advance to the next job tier which will start you back at level 1 again. In the current game, there are 3 job tiers so a total of 120 skill points available for now once everything is maxed. If at any time you make an error leveling the above, do not worry as there are options to reset and respec available in the game.
The game is generous that it will provide you a couple of items that allow for these resets as you progress through the game. However, performing resets in the future will require you to purchase these items with in game currency so try to do some research before putting points into anything.Playing the gameNow that you have chosen a job, it's time to start going deeper into the game's mechanics. I'll list a number of things you can do below on a daily basis. Before you get started, make sure you unlock the assistant feature on the first map north of Prontera (starting city) to earn daily rewards as you go through your daily tasks. You will need to reach a base level of 20 to obtain an assistant.QuestingYou can continue down the questing path and do quests to level up as quests give both exp and job exp as well. There are an abundance of quests in the game, so feel free to explore and do them. The more quests you do, the more you will learn about the game mechanics.Utilising your combat timeEvery day, each character will be given a total of 300 minutes combat time. You can further increase this by AFK'ing your character at the music box (located northeast of the starting zone) for 1 hour which will increase your combat time by another 60.
Unused combat time will carry forward to the next day but will cap at 900 minutes.Combat time can be used to farm and grind. You click the 'Auto' icon on the bottom right of your screen to do this and your character will automatically look for monsters to hit on the map you are in. The timer for the combat time will reduce as your character is auto farming. There is an item called Chain that when used, allows your combat time to be used at 2x the speed. During this chain period, you will also get 2x the loot so you will be cutting down your combat utilisation in half. Each chain used is applicable on 60 minutes of combat time and utilising multiple chains will accumulate on top of each other. F2P players can use chain 7 times a week while premium players have no limit to using chain.
Chains are often given out via daily quests and they are also purchasable with in game currency through an NPC.Doing daily questsAs mentioned above, daily quests are marked as a blue exclamation mark on your mini map. These are quests that you can do on a daily basis and will reset at the end of each day cycle. I'll explain each of this quests below:. Daily board quest - You can refer to a common mission board that is available in all towns for 10 daily missions that you can do everyday. The mission board just looks like a signboard with a lot of notices on them.
They can range from fetch quests to killing a quantity of a specific monster. You can only take 1 quest at a time and take another once a quest is completed. Monster resistance - Once you reach level 22, you unlock and NPC that provides you with the monster resistance quest. You can do this twice a day. Taking this quests allows you to earn 10x the current exp of normal monsters with a specific exp cap. So make sure to take these quests before you do your combat time daily. If undone, monster resistance quest will accumulate each day with a cap of 6.
Rifts - Rifts are blue tears that will appear on specific maps in the game. You will need to be in a party to complete them (you can still be a solo member in the party to do them). Unlocking these rifts will unleash a wave of monsters which when defeated earn you some loot and exp. You can do rifts up to 5 times a day. There are options to complete these rifts instantly without having to fight monsters by using adventure meatballs which we will cover more on later. Training ground - You can enter the training ground by talking to the relevant NPC on a daily basis. You have to fight a group of monsters to pass this.
![Ragnarok mobile eternal Ragnarok mobile eternal](/uploads/1/2/5/5/125583843/959647148.jpg)
Similar to rifts, this can also be instantly completed using adventure meatballs.Utilising the pet systemUnderstanding the pet mechanics in this game is absolutely essential. In this game, there are a few monsters you can catch which can become your pets. If you follow the quest line, it will most likely provide you a free Poring as your first pet. Catching pets require you to obtain their catching item which can be obtained through the cash shop, the exchange or by farming endless tower bosses (more on this later). I believe Miss Maven has one of the best catching guides out there and I'll provide a link you can use to understand more about catching pets. Each pet gives bonuses to your character and these bonuses differ according to the pet you are utilising. Kindly note that you can only have one pet out at a time but you can have as many as you want in your inventory (they hide in their eggs until you choose to release them again).Pets can be used for the following:.
Fight along your side - The pet you use will help you fight as well. As you level, the fighting pet will also gain experience and can level up. Pets gain intimacy the more they fight with you. You can also increase their intimacy with you by feeding them their catching items or by petting them occasionally. Pets that fight along your side will produce adventure meatballs which are currency for a number of items specifically ones used for instantly completing your daily quests. To be put into pet labor - Once your pet reaches level 5 intimacy, you can put them into labour. Labour is essentially AFK farming with your pet.
Doing so requires no investment aside from putting that pet at work. There are several labour machines that you can choose from depending on items that you want your pet to farm. Send them on pet adventures - Once your pet reaches level 5 intimacy, you can also send them on pet adventures. The pets will basically go on a journey for about an hour to collect material and exp for you.
You can run 2 pet adventures at any given time. Doing a pet adventure will reduce your combat time by 60 minutes so take note on this. You can send pets on pet adventure if you have trouble finishing your combat time daily.Endless TowerEndless tower is a dungeon that resets on a weekly basis. It would be highly suggested that you enter this dungeon with a full party.
This dungeon goes on for 90 floors and contains a number of bosses. The higher you go, the more bosses you fight thus the more boss loots you can obtain. Boss loots are required for crafting equipment and they also sell for a good amount of in game currency. I would suggest trying to go as high as possible each week as this dungeon is a good source of money for gearing your character.Guild ContentGuild content will require a section of its own.
It is absolutely essential to join a guild as it unlocks a lot of content that will improve your character overall. Even if you don't want to socialise, there is a lot of content that you can do solo in the guild that will be beneficial to both yourself and the guild. Joining a guild will allow you access to their guild hall which will unlock several of the features you can do below.. Donations - You can donate materials that you farm on a day to day basis which will provide you with contribution points.
This is a specific currency used for several guild features. You can also donate boss items to obtain Gold Medals. Aesir Monument (Runes) - Once your character reaches level 40, you can unlock the Rune feature that is available in the guild hall. Doing so will provide you with the Aesir Monument in your inventory which you can open at any time.
This item will allow you to utilise your contribution points by unlocking additional stats that will boost your characters skills and attributes. Gold medals will also be needed to improve your current job skills through their respective runes. You will have to plan your runes properly but do not worry as you can always reset them if you have made a mistake (with a bit of in game currency).
Dojo - A one time dungeon you can do with your guild members to obtain contribution points. There are several levels but each of them only require a single completion. Valhalla dungeon runes - This is a dungeon that resets weekly.
There are a total of 4 dungeons you can do but I would suggest not venturing into the last 2 as those involve really strong bosses. You will need to party up with your guildies and the dungeon is pretty much a maze that has several bosses available. This allows you to obtain boss loot. Do note that unlocking the dungeon each week requires a currency known as silver medals which you obtain from doing your daily quests. Guild quests - There are a few fun guild quests you can obtain daily which you can do with your guild members to enjoy earning some additional contribution points (e.g.
Listening to music together). Access the guild facilities - As your guild levels up, there are several facilities that can be constructed in your guild hall which you can purchase items from. You get currency for these facilities by completing weekly guild challenges.Other areas you might want to exploreThere are just too many areas for you to explore in this game. So, I will list a few more items that you might be interested in as you can do these when you have the time.Cooking - You can learn to cook by going to the building north of Prontera (same place to obtain your assitant).
Cooking food will level up your cooking level which will allow you to have more success at cooking higher level food. Eating cooked food gives a buff to your character for a specific period of time which will help you during bossing, leveling or PvP.Leveling your Adventure book - Once you select your job, you will also be given an adventure book.
You can rank up your adventure class as you gain adventure levels. You can gain adventure levels by taking pictures (with the in game camera) of scenery, fighing monsters, cooking and completing achievements.
Just note that ranking up your adventure level will involve quests that might require some time and investment. Getting higher adventure rank allows you to unlock more adventure skills which are basically QOL conveniences that will ease your game play (e.g. Unlocking more bag slots, more auto combat slots, etc).Aaaaand that concludes it! That's about most of the basics that I can think of. There are a lot of other end game content which you will most likely discover as you play the game so I'll leave it to you to figure them out.Do let me know if you need further elaboration on any of the areas I have highlighted above and I'll be happy to provide my input. Thanks and happy RO'ing!.
True that WS or BS requires nothing more than a saint axe or mace plus premium. After that it's self-sustaining and can buy premium for every character in your acct for zeny with the least amount of effort.I think though the Author meant Creator for not being f2p friendly. I made that main on a 2nd account and never spent on paid medals. It still is absolute hell. Now I switched it to a BS just so it can farm properly. Also I made a farming WS for it. Really difficult for medals as a first char with poor farm.
I guess though it could work if you get multiplication card early in while it's cheap. It currently is out of my ballpark. So expensive.
